Dr. Saltz is a regular health, sex, and relationship contributor to The Today Show. A Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at The New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill-Cornell School of Medicine, Dr. Saltz is a psychoanalyst with The New York Psychoanalytic Institute and the Health Editor of the Child Mind Institute. She has a private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Dr. Saltz hosts a series at the famed 92nd Street Y entitled Strength of Mind where she interviews celebrities and extraordinary individuals about interesting issues concerning psychology. To date, she has spoken with such luminaries as Woody Allen, Tom Brokaw, Katie Couric, Jane Pauley, Howie Mandell and Rosie O'Donnell, among others.
Gaining a reputation as the "go-to" person on a variety of psychological issues, especially those pertaining to women's emotional well-being, Dr. Saltz has appeared repeatedly on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The View, Dateline, 20/20 , Primetime, The O'Reilly Factor, The Glenn Beck Program, Larry King Live, Anderson Cooper 360°, Parker Spitzer and The Joy Behar Show, among others.
Dr. Saltz is the author of the critically-acclaimed Becoming Real: Defeating the Stories We Tell Ourselves That Hold Us Back, Anatomy of a Secret Life: The Psychology of Living a Lie and most recently The Ripple Effect: How Better Sex Can Lead To a Better Life. She has also written two children's books, Amazing You! Getting Smart About Your Private Parts and Changing You: A Guide to Body Changes and Sexuality.
